I'm Meluka, the one human behind La Mala Banana Press - and this is my monthly zine club for people who don't fit in neat boxes.

I navigate a challenging life guided by the notion that joy, humor, and delight are some of the most powerful weapons individuals possess. I believe that making art is an act of survival and that sharing it is an act of generosity.

Zines go out during the first two weeks of each month to the U.S., Canada, and the U.K.
About me:
On good days, I'm a Latina artist, zinester, teacher, and chronic illness warrior making beautifully strange paper things from my studio. On bad days, I am a slug. I have a dainty herd of cats. I translate Latin American women poets. I believe in altars and ancestors and taking up space.
