About

I took a twenty-year break from music. Life got full and loud, and somewhere in all of it, I stopped writing. I'm not sure I even noticed I'd stopped.

But grief has a way of cracking things back open.

I came back to songwriting slowly, honestly, and a little afraid — and in 2021 I released Where I Belong, recorded with the help of friends who are far better musicians than I am. In 2025 I started something even more vulnerable: sharing a rough demo of a brand new song every single week. No studio sheen. Just me, a microphone, and whatever I'm carrying that week.

I write about grief and grace, doubt and hope, the mess of being human and the strange gift of being loved anyway. I'm a pastor, but I don't write church songs — I write songs for the road, for the hard nights, for the quiet moments when you need to know someone else has been there too.
