Rerum Cognoscere Causas

Something seems wrong with things. With us.

We like to think we know what would fix it all. But when we disagree so vehemently (even violently), can we really be so sure?

I've titled my StampFans "Rerum Cognoscere Causas." That's Latin for "to know the causes of things." I've never been one for small talk, and I intend these letters to be anything but that. Sometimes, it takes time and effort to figure things out. The right answers usually aren't lying the surface. The truth can be hard to see, let alone understand.

But so long as we're not afraid, I think deeper waters are worth probing and bigger questions are worth asking.

I don't have one particular theme. In fact, the topic of my letters will probably be wildly different, one to the next. I'm a startup founder, a father of five, and a professional ghostwriter. I love to fish, ride my bike, and read books I can barely understand – mostly theology and philosophy (often via a good novel). I'm an editor at Theophaneia.

But no matter my subject, I commit to being honest and methodical and to treating my readers with all the respect you deserve.
