Postcards from a Florida Swamp

Florida never fails to inspire me. Swamps teeming with life, death, and resurrection. Beaches that never rest, constantly caught between wet and bone dry. The hazy moon and the stabbing sun. The people. The monsters.

If we are meeting for the first time, welcome! I’m a horror writer and poet, an eldergoth queer woman, a Florida native, and a biologist who is happiest in marshes and swamps. I’m deeply fond of Florida’s wild areas and liminal spaces.

I want to show you Florida through my eyes, through monthly photos, poetry, and small stories. There are horrors here, and beauty, too.
